Blood conservation strategies have
evolved in recent years, and new approaches to blood
conservation and replacement have dramatically changed the
treatment of surgical patients.
With AmSECT's establishment of the International
Board of Blood Management (IBBM) in conjunction with the AABB,
peri-operative blood management will become a regulated profession. This section of our website is
devoted to all facets of blood conservation including
